TOPAS is a voluntary registration system in which customers can verify manufacturers’ compliance with the associated product testing, this is to coordinate the management and development of technical specifications for traffic control equipment.

Due to the increasing number of purchasing specifications from Local Authorities and other organisations requiring this, TOPAS registration is highly recommended. The key function of TOPAS is to define specifications to support the reduction in the risk of operational issues that may arise.

TOPAS ensures the continued management and development of defined specifications for traffic control equipment through straightforward means, in which compliance to technical standards can be verified through registration.
