Social Distancing and Covid-19 Statement
SRL has made its stance on covid-19 abundantly clear, and the company are driving home messages of safety to those in, and out of their workforce.
‘Do the right thing’ is the mantra, with the company encouraging the social distancing message to such an extent that it’s even inspired a temporary new company logo. The new design sees more isolated company initials to highlight their widespread approach to combatting the covid-19 pandemic.
SRL who supply portable and temporary traffic light systems along with a huge range of VMS in the UK and Ireland are at hand to assist any with requirements for products immediately.

Additionally, SRL has released its official statement on the coronavirus outbreak. Richard Tredwin Chief Executive, SRL Traffic Systems Ltd states:
“As the situation regarding COVID-19 develops we want to inform you of the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our customers, employees and suppliers and prevent the spread of the virus. We take our role in the community very seriously and are following the guidance issued by the Government and health authorities and adjusting our policies and procedures in line with this on a daily basis.
Our commitment to you
SRL Representatives will advise you if there has been any case of COVID-19 reported within our organisation by the quickest means possible within 48 hours. We will provide you with the relevant details such as the site or contract the member of staff was working on however, we cannot provide you with the name of the individual to maintain and protect their privacy.
As of today, 19 March 2020, SRL have no confirmed cases.
How will this affect our business and how we operate
As far as possible we will do whatever is necessary to continue to provide our normal level
of service to our customers. SRL have a UK wide depot network and resources available which will help us to ensure that we can fulfil our obligations and services to you.
Our business services are operating as normal and there has been no change or disruption to supplies. Our business continuity plan in place outlines the steps we are taking to safeguard employees’ and customers’ health and well-being during a pandemic while ensuring the Company’s ability to maintain fundamental operations and continue providing essential services to our customers.
The plan includes:
The formation of a COVID-19 Action team who monitor UK Government guidance, with a call and feedback to the business once a day
• Restricting travel for meetings
• Increasing the deployment of antibacterial hand sanitisers within the business
• Introduction of a no hand shake policy
• Circulation of tool box talks and posters to all depots to reinforce good practices regarding hand-washing
• Introducing software to certain support and central services to enable remote working
Customers / sub-contractors/ suppliers’ responsibility to us
The Directors of SRL take the COVID-19 threat very seriously and we are taking all reasonable measures to prepare for and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to our customers, employees, suppliers and our business. To this end, we ask that you inform us if any of your staff / employees who have been to our depots or sites and / or have been in contact with any of SRL employees and have had to self-isolate due to potential exposure to the virus.
